From Diagnostics to Functional Therapy

Dietosystem is the division of DSMG that, since 1979, has been dedicated to the research and development of innovative solutions to support nutrition professionals: new diagnostic and nutritional therapy protocols in line with the latest scientific evidence and compliant with European regulations.

Dietosystem is present within Universities, IRCCS, Hospitals, and Clinics with its own Diagnostic-Therapeutic Protocol.

Functional Diagnostics

Dietosystem provides nutrition professionals with validated tools for functional diagnosis and nutritional status assessment: medical history and physical examination, body composition analysis, evaluation of eating habits, and cognitive-behavioral assessment.

  • Medical history and physical examination through the medical record available in all Dietosystem software.

  • Body composition analysis through Dietosystem Bioimpedance and Skinfold Measurement tools.

  • Assessment of eating habits through the Food Intake and FFQ modules of the Dietosystem Nutritional Therapy software.

  • Cognitive-behavioral assessment through the psychometric screening available within the Dietosystem Nutritional Therapy software.

Functional Therapy

Functional Therapy in Nutrition represents the most complex task to achieve. Its formulation is closely linked to the essential diagnostics of nutritional status. It is the only investigative approach capable of tailoring the diet to each individual clinical case and monitoring responses through continuous follow-up.

Functional Therapy is implemented through the Dietosystem Nutritional Therapy software. This software is used with varying levels of specialization across all pathological areas where nutrition plays a fundamental or supportive role alongside pharmacological therapy.
