Anthropometric Instruments

Together with the Plicometria Dietosystem software, the kit includes the following professional tools:

  • Holtain skinfold caliper
  • Measuring tape for circumferences
  • Bone caliper (0–15 cm)

Clinical Record

The software features a comprehensive clinical record that, in addition to personal and family anamnesis, allows practitioners to prescribe laboratory tests relevant to the evaluation of the patient’s nutritional status and record their results.
Out-of-range values are automatically flagged based on official reference ranges.
Users can monitor lab results over time and create customized diagnostic protocols.

Developed in collaboration with leading specialists, the software also includes screening questionnaires for gastrointestinal disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, malnutrition, and cardiovascular risk.

Anthropometric Data

Within the Plicometria Dietosystem software, users can record all circumference, skinfold, and body diameter measurements.

Through Frisancho percentiles and harmonization indices, circumference and skinfold data provide an initial qualitative evaluation of protein-energy reserves, lean mass, and body fat distribution.

The software also allows entry and tracking of handgrip strength measured with a dynamometer. Combined with validated screening questionnaires, this helps assess sarcopenia risk.

Somatotype

The somatotype function allows a complete morphological and constitutional analysis of the patient.
The dot’s position on the somatocarta provides a global anthropometric overview, highlighting the balance among endomorphism, mesomorphism, and ectomorphism.

Body Compartments

The software automatically selects the most suitable predictive equation to calculate fat mass (FAT) and fat-free mass (FFM), as well as basal metabolic rate (BMR).
The muscle mass index offers detailed insight into the patient’s nutritional and functional status.

Dedicated upper and lower artometry sections allow evaluation of muscular and adipose areas of the limbs, with the option to compare data across multiple visits.
Frisancho percentiles and color-coded indicators make interpretation clear and intuitive.

The calculation of visceral and subcutaneous adipose tissue helps assess cardiovascular risk, based on reference data from scientific literature.

Report

The Plicometria Dietosystem report can be customized according to the professional’s and patient’s needs.
Reports can be printed in summary form or include detailed attachments such as:

A preview function is available before printing for final review.

Morfocap

This function allows importing and comparing before-and-after images of the patient throughout the follow-up process.
